CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Visiting Ursinus College scored the final five goals of the first half and the first three goals of the second half en route to a 10-8 win over host Washington College in Centennial Conference women's lacrosse action this afternoon at Shriver Field. The Bears improved to 8-4 overall and 5-3 in conference play, while the Shorewomen slipped to 9-6 and 6-3.

Washington took a 3-2 lead when junior midfielder Tarra Boulden (Newark, DE/Tower Hill) scored off an assist from senior midfielder Minta Sayres (East Haddam, CT/Westminster School) with 16:21 left in the first half. The Shorewomen mounted a late rally as senior attacker Casey Sawma (Conway, MA/Stoneleigh-Burnham) scored three times in a game-ending five-goal spurt for Washington, but came up short. WC senior attacker Janet Studdiford (Wyndmoor, PA/Springside School) scored the game's final goal with 32 seconds left to cut the lead to 10-8, but Erikah Weir controlled the ensuing draw for Ursinus and the Bears ran out the clock.

Oksana Yaworsky and Lindsay Givens scored one goal each for the Bears, while Weird and Ashley Ettinger each had two assists.
