WC Wallops Wittenberg, 19-6
Eleven Shorewomen Score Goals in Win

PANAMA CITY, FL -- The Washington College offense continued to surge Thursday night as 11 different Shorewomen scored en route to a 19-6 victory over Wittenberg University in Panama City, FL. The Shorewomen, now 3-0 this season, have scored at least 17 goals in three straight contests for the first time in team history.

The Shorewomen were led offensively by junior attackers Janet Studdiford (Wyndmoor, PA/Springside School) and Casey Sawma (Conway, MA/Stoneleigh-Burnham) and junior midfielder Minta Sayres (East Haddam, CT/Westminster School) . Studdiford tallied three goals and three assists in the game, while Sawma finished with four goals. Sayres added three goals and one assist.

Sophomore attacker Lindsey Eichner (Raritan, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had two goals and one assist. Senior attacker Paige Heller (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial), senior midfielder Kristen Bozzella (Harwood, MD/Southern), and freshman attacker Stephanie Ehrhardt (Towson, MD/Oldfields) each tallied one goal and one assist. Freshman attacker Kelly Gallagher (Columbus, OH/Dublin Scioto) scored her first collegiate goal in the win.

Jenny Burns and Cara Romanowski accounted for all of Wittenberg's offense, scoring three goals each.

Freshman goalie Ashley Crisler (Manchester, MD/North Carroll) finished with 10 saves for Washington.

The Shorewomen, who have converted on an impressive 55% of their 99 shots this season, open play in the Centennial Conference Wednesday with a 4:00 p.m. game at Haverford.
