11, 2003 PANAMA CITY, FL -- The Washington College Shorewomen improved to 2-0 this season with a 17-1 win over Salve Regina University in a game played in Panama City, FL. Junior attackers Janet Studdiford (Wyndmoor, PA/Springside School) and Casey Sawma (Conway, MA/Stoneleigh-Burnham) combined for seven goals and five assists in the win over the Seahawks (0-1). Sawma scored four goals and added two assists, while Studdiford finished with three goals and three assists. Senior attacker Sunni Houston (Monkton, MD/Maryvale Prep) tallied one goal and three assists, sophomore attacker Lindsey Eichner (Raritan, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had two goals and one assist, and senior attacker Paige Heller (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) tallied three assists. Other multiple-point performances were turned in by junior midfielder Minta Sayres (East Haddam, CT/Westminster School) and freshman attacker Stephanie Ehrhardt (Towson, MD/Oldfields), who each finished with two goals, and by freshman attacker Erin Bollinger (Perry Hall, MD/Institute of Notre Dame), who contributed one goal and one assist. In all, nine different players scored at least one goal for the Shorewomen. Ehrhardt and Bollinger picked up their first collegiate goals, as did sophomore defender Tarra Boulden (Newark, DE/Tower Hill). Freshman goalie Ashley Crisler (Manchester, MD/North Carroll) made four saves and allowed just one goal for WC. The Shorewomen have now scored 35 goals in their first two games this year, the most goals ever scored by the team in a season's first two contests. Washington will play again in Panama City on Thursday, taking on Wittenberg at 6:15 p.m..
