12, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College women's lacrosse team fell to visiting Franklin & Marshall, the 16th-ranked team in Division III, by a final score of 17-5, this afternoon in Centennial Conference action at Shriver Field. The loss drops the Shorewomen to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in conference play, while the Diplomats improve to 7-3 and 5-1. F&M led 9-1 at the half. Junior attacker Casey Sawma (Conway, MA/Stoneleigh-Burnham) paced Washington with two goals. Senior midfielder Betty Weller (Sudlersville, MD/Queen Anne's County), senior midfielder Kristen Bozzella (Harwood, MD/Southern) and freshman attacker Stephanie Ehrhardt (Towson, MD/Oldfields) each added one goal. F&M was paced by Laura Fine, who racked up five goals and two assists in the game. Danielle Jones, Lauren Paul, and Kristen Foster each had three goals and one assist. The Shorewomen are back in action Tuesday with a 4:00 p.m. home game against Rowan. BOX SCORE
