October 15, 2005 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Becky Latta scored the game's only goal early in the second half as 17th-ranked Gettysburg remained unbeaten in Centennial Conference play with a 1-0 win over host Washington College in field hockey action this afternoon in Chestertown. Latta knocked in a loose ball to give the Bullets (10-3, 6-0 CC) what would prove to be the game-winning goal with 32:52 remaining in the second half. Gettysburg held a 21-6 advantage in penalty corners in the game and a 15-6 edge in shots. Sophomore goalkeeper Erin O'Brien (Havre de Grace, MD/John Carroll) made 11 saves for the Shorewomen (3-10, 2-4) in the loss. Katherine Corkhill made three saves for the Bullets. The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Johns Hopkins.
