October 23, 2004 CARLISLE, PA -- Host Dickinson College scored all four of its goals off of penalty corners in a 4-1 Centennial Conference field hockey victory over visiting Washington College this afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Red Devils improved to 9-6 overall and 6-2 in conference play with the victory. The Shorewomen dropped to 7-8 overall and 5-4 in conference play. The Red Devils took a 1-0 lead when Katie Austin scored off an assist from Emily Greenlee with 26:49 remaining in the opening half. The Shorewomen knotted the score at 1-1 with nine seconds left before the break on a penalty stroke by senior attack Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown). Dickinson took the lead for good when Greenlee scored off an assist from Austin with 31:51 left in the second half. Greenlee and Lauren Williams assisted on a direct penalty corner goal by Lauren Moag with 23:33 left and Austin tacked on Dickinson's fourth goal when she scored on a direct penalty corner with 8:56 on the clock, with assists going to Greenlee and Moag. Dickinson goalkeeper Tara McFadden made three saves in the win, while Washington freshman goalkeeper Erin O'Brien (Havre de Grace, MD/John Carroll) recorded 11 stops in the loss. The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 3:30 p.m. non-conference game at Villa Julie.
