27, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The Washington College Shorewomen fell to 4-3 overall and 1-1 in Centennial Conference play with a 4-2 loss to 14th-ranked Ursinus College this afternoon in Chestertown. The Bears improved to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the victory. Ursinus jumped out to a 2-0 halftime lead behind goals from Allison Doutt and Amy Midgely with 16:03 and 12:45 remaining in the period, respectively. The Shorewomen cut the lead to one with 17:55 left in the second half when junior attack Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown) scored her 10th goal of the season off an assist from junior midfielder Breahn McAteer (Haddon Heights, NJ/Haddon Heights). Midgley then scored two more goals - the first with 9:14 left off an assist from Ashley Ettinger and the second with 4:50 remaining off an assist from Jackie Kram to push the lead to 4-1. Washington senior forward Taneil Sisco (Kent County, MD/Kent County) knocked in an unassisted goal with 3:22 remaining to provide the final margin. WC senior goalie Zina Hense (Lewes, DE/Cape Henlopen) made a career-high 22 saves in the loss as Ursinus held a 38-15 advantage in shots and a 26-16 advantage in penalty corners.
