21, 2003 BALTIMORE, MD -- The Washington College field hockey team slipped to 7-7 overall and 4-4 in Centennial Conference play with a 1-0 loss at Johns Hopkins this evening. Hopkins improved to 8-6 overall and 6-1 in league play with the win. The Blue Jays scored the game's only goal with 28:38 remaining in the second half when Jenny Farrelly scored off a direct corner. Ashlee Duncan and Kelly Hewitt recorded assists on the goal. Meredith Shifman made five saves in goal for Hopkins, while senior Zina Hense (Lewes, DE/Cape Henlopen) made one for the Shorewomen. Washington held a 9-5 advantage in shots and a 5-4 advantage in corners. Junior attack Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown) had a game-high four shots for the Shorewomen.
