16, 2003 BRYN MAWR, PA -- Junior attack Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown) scored all three goals to lead the Washington College field hockey team to a 3-0 win at Bryn Mawr College this afternoon. The game was the Centennial Conference opener for both teams. Scimeca put WC on the board with 28:52 left in the first half and added another goal with 6:25 to play in the period to give WC a 2-0 lead. Her third goal of the game and eighth of the season came with 30:20 to play in the second half. WC senior Zina Hense (Lewes, DE/Cape Henlopen) made one save in goal for the Shorewomen (3-2, 1-0 Centennial) en route to the shutout. Nicole Huynh made four stops for the Owls (1-1, 0-1). Washington held a 20-1 advantage in shots and a 22-0 advantage in penalty corners.
