Scimeca Scores Four Goals Against VJC
Shorewomen Record 6-0 Shutout

CATONSVILLE, MD -- Sophomore forward Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown) scored four goals and assisted on the other two to lead the Washington College field hockey team to a 6-0 shutout win over Villa Julie College in a game played under the lights and on turf this evening at UMBC. The Shorewomen improved to 2-1 with the win, while the Mustangs slipped to 1-5 with the loss.

Senior midfielder Jessica McAdams (Baltimore, MD/Bryn Mawr) and junior forward Taneil Sisco (Kent County, MD/Kent County) each added a goal for the Shorewomen. Sophomore forward Traci Sodano (Clinton, NJ/North Hunterdon) and senior forward Julie Phillips (Easton, MD/Easton) each contributed one assist.

Scimeca's performance gives her six goals and three assists in the last two games. WC held a 25-5 advantage in shots in the game and a 13-6 advantage in penalty corners.

The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 1:00 p.m. game at Hartwick.
