Shorewomen Handle Bryn Mawr, 4-0
McAdams, Scimeca Lead WC

BRYN MAWR, PA -- The Washington College field hockey team (7-3 overall, 5-0 Centennial) breezed past winless Bryn Mawr College (0-7, 0-3), 4-0, this afternoon in Bryn Mawr, PA.

Three of Washington's goals came in the first half, two off the stick of freshman midfielder/forward Laura Scimeca (Cream Ridge, NJ/Allentown). Her first goal was the first of the game and came off an assist from junior midfielder Jessica McAdams (Baltimore, MD/Bryn Mawr). McAdams promptly scored a goal of her own minutes later in the half. The final Shorewoman goal came just 2:30 into the second half, when McAdams picked up another assist, this time on a score by junior back Megan Daily (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern).

Washington dominated on both ends of the field, taking 22 shots inside the circle and allowing just four. The Shorewomen held a commanding 21-3 advantage in penalty corners.

The Shorewomen have won six consecutive conference games in a streak that dates to last season. They will look to up that skein to seven Tuesday against Swarthmore, which they host for a 4:00 p.m. game
