Conway Named First Team All-Centennial
Senior is First Player in Team History to Earn Honor

LANCASTER, PA – Senior guard Elise Conway (Silver Spring, MD/Paint Branch) has become the first women's basketball player in Washington College history to earn All-Centennial Conference first team honors. The All-Centennial teams were announced today after being voted upon by the conference's head coaches.

Conway averaged 9.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 3.2 steals, 1.0 blocks per game this season. She finished the year ranked first in the Centennial Conference in assists per game and tied for first in steals per game. She also ranked seventh in blocks per game and 14th in rebounds per game. She was the only player in the conference to rank in the top 10 in assists, steals, and blocks. She currently ranks 26th in assists per game in all of Division III and 43rd in steals per game. Her 80 steals on the season are a Washington College school record, as were the 12 assists she handed out in a January game against Franklin & Marshall.

Conway turned in 14 double-figure scoring performances this season. She also 14 games of at least five assists and 17 games of at least three steals. She handed out at least two assists and swiped at least one steal in every game this season.

An All-Centennial Conference honorable mention last season, Conway is the third Shorewoman to achieve All-Centennial status in more than one year. Eboni Taylor earned second team honors twice (1995 & 1997) and honorable mention twice (1994 & 1996), while Katie Bierzonski earned second team honors once (2001) and honorable mention once (1999).
