18, 2006 LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, PA Freshman guard Jane O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) tied a school-record by canning seven three-pointers en route to a game-high 27 points as the Washington College women's basketball team topped Rosemont College, 63-54, in the consolation game of the James A. Richardson Tournament this afternoon at Lincoln University. Washington (1-1) held a 27-20 lead at halftime and led the entire second half of the game. O'Donnell's seven three-pointers came on just 13 attempts; she was 10-of-16 from the field overall and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Her performance marks the fifth time a Shorewoman has knocked down seven three-pointers in a game, a record most recently tied by Regina Barrett in a 65-54 win over Haverford on February 8th, 2005. Senior guard LaToya Turner (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) added 12 points in the win for the Shorewomen (1-1). Sophomore guard Brianne Slizofski (Collegeville, PA/St. Pius X) also reached double figures in scoring with 11 points. Freshman forward Julie Sherwood (Fairfield, CT/Fairfield Warde) tallied eight rebounds in the victory. Andrea Boyle also finished with 14 points in the loss for the Ramblers. Linder represented Rosemont on the All-Tournament Team. Washington shot 42% in the game to Rosemont's 38%. Washington committed nine fewer turnovers than Rosemont (15 to 24), helping to offset the Ramblers' slight 38-34 edge on the boards.
