Hopkins Handles Shorewomen, 77-59
O'Donnell Leads Washington with 17 Points

BALTIMORE, MD – Host Johns Hopkins raced out to a 45-22 halftime lead en route to a 77-59 Centennial Conference women's basketball victory over visiting Washington College tonight in Baltimore, MD. The Blue Jays (5-2, 3-1 Centennial) held a 75-41 lead with just under six minutes to play before the Shorewomen (2-5, 0-4) finished the game on an 18-2 run.

Andrea Dodrill score a game-high 19 points and collected six rebounds in just 19 minutes for Hopkins, while Julie Miller tallied 16 points and a game-best 14 rebounds. Haley Wojdowski added 10 points and five steals for the Blue Jays.

Freshman guard Jane O'Donnell (Cape May Court House, NJ/Wildwood Catholic) scored a game-high 17 points for the Shorewomen, while senior guard LaToya Turner (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) finished with 13 points, five assists, and three steals. Sophomore guard Brianne Slizofski (Collegeville, PA/Pius X) chipped in 10 points for Washington.

Hopkins shot 52% from the field to Washington's 34%. The Blue Jays committed 12 more turnovers than the Shorewomen (29 to 17), but held a commanding 50-27 advantage on the boards.

The Shorewomen are back in action Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Muhlenberg.
