Shorewomen Fall to McDaniel
Duckworth Leads WAC with 10 Points

WESTMINSTER, MD – Host McDaniel College improved to 16-2 overall and 10-1 in Centennial Conference play with a 74-41 win over visiting Washington College this evening in women's basketball action in Westminster, MD. The Green Terror shot 53% from the field in the game, while holding the Shorewomen (3-13, 2-8 Centennial) to 31% shooting.

McDaniel's Kristy Costa, who shot 8-for-12 from the field and five-of-five at the free-throw line, led all players in points, rebounds, and assists, with 21, eight, and six, respectively. Kelly Cramp added 13 points for the Green Terror, while Sara Franz tallied 10 points and four assists. Thirteen different McDaniel players scored in the win.

Sophomore forward Lauren Duckworth (Newtown, PA/Archbishop Wood) was the only Shorewoman to finish in double figures in scoring, finishing with 10 points. Senior guard/forward Jenny Campitelli (Reisterstown, MD/Notre Dame Prep) pulled down a team-high five rebounds for Washington.

McDaniel, which led 33-23 at halftime, outrebounded Washington, 35-24.

The Shorewomen will return to action Saturday with a 2:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Dickinson.
