No. 21 McDaniel Defeats WAC
Duckworth Leads Washington in Points, Rebounds

CHESTERTOWN, MD – Twenty-first ranked McDaniel College jumped out to a 42-17 halftime lead en route to a 75-30 victory over host Washington College in Centennial Conference women's basketball action this evening at Cain Athletic Center. The Green Terror improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen slip to 1-3 and 0-2 with the loss.

The Green Terror shot 48% from the field in the game, while holding the Shorewomen to 19% shooting. McDaniel also forced 34 Washington turnovers.

Jacqueline Pundt led the Green Terror with game highs of 14 points, 11 rebounds, and three blocked shots, while Heather Thompson came off the bench to score 11 points on five-of-seven shooting from the field. Kelly Cramp added 10 points for McDaniel.

Sophomore forward Lauren Duckworth (Newtown, PA/Archbishop Wood) paced the Shorewomen in both points and rebounds, finishing with 10 and seven, respectively.

The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Muhlenberg.
