Barrett Ties Record as WAC Wins
Sophomore Knocks Down Seven Three-Pointers

HAVERFORD, PA – Sophomore guard Regina Barrett (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Mamaroneck) tied a school record by making seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 25 points to lead visiting Washington College past host Haverford, 65-54, in a Centennial Conference women's basketball game this evening in Haverford, PA.

Six of Barrett's seven three-pointers came in the second half. She shot 7-of-11 from beyond the arc in the win and 9-13 from the field overall. Her seven three-pointers match the school record set by Lee Ann Lezzer in 1995 and matched twice by Katie Piringer during the 2002-03 season.

The Fords (4-16, 1-13 Centennial) grabbed a 15-6 lead with 11:30 remaining in the first half before the Shorewomen (4-16, 3-11) ran off 19 unanswered points to go up, 25-15, on a jumper by freshman forward Kim Proctor (Ferndale, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) with 2:25 left in the period. Haverford scored the final six of the final seven points of the half to cut the lead to 26-21 at the break.

The Shorewomen came out firing in the second half as Barrett hit two three-pointers and senior guard/forward Jenny Campitelli (Reisterstown, MD/Notre Dame Prep) converted a lay-up to push the margin to 34-21 with 17:58 left in the game and give Washington control of the game. The Shorewomen led by as many as 26 points in the second half.

Freshman forward Brenda Lucas (New London, PA/Avon Grove) joined Barrett in double figures for Washington, tallying 10 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Senior guard Jeremy Cook (Pattenburg, NJ/North Hunterdon) dished out a game-high five assists for the Shorewomen.

Meredith Foote scored a game-high 26 points for the Fords, while Katie Crowley added 11. Kendra Smythe pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for Haverford, while Kate Wettstein blocked five shots.

The Shorewomen will host Philadelphia Biblical Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
