Bullets Clip Shorewomen, 74-47
Turner Leads WAC in Scoring, Steals

GETTYSBURG, PA – Host Gettysburg College defeated visiting Washington College, 74-47, in Centennial Conference women's basketball action this evening in Gettysburg, PA. Two players recorded double-doubles for the Bullets, who improved to 7-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play with the win. The Shorewomen slipped to 2-10 and 1-5 with the loss.

Elizabeth Ross and Kathryn Reilly shared game-high honors in rebounding as each Bullet collected 11 boards. Ross added 13 points and a game-high five assists, while Reilly finished with 11 points and a game-high three blocked shots. Jen Bengel led all scorers with 14 points for Gettysburg. Bengel also pulled down eight rebounds.

Sophomore guard LaToya Turner (Chestertown, MD/Kent County) scored a team-high 12 points for Washington, swiped a game-high five steals, and brought down six rebounds. Sophomore guard Regina Barrett (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Mamaroneck) and sophomore forward Lauren Duckworth (Newtown, PA/Archbishop Wood) each added 10 points for the Shorewomen.

The Bullets shot 44% from the field in the game, while the Shorewomen shot 27%. Gettysburg outrebounded Washington, 51-38.

The Shorewomen return to action Thursday with a 6:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Dickinson.
