January 29, 2005 CHESTERTOWN, MD Visiting Dickinson College defeated host Washington College, 56-30, in Centennial Conference women's basketball action this afternoon at Cain Athletic Center. The Red Devils improved to 16-1 overall and 11-1 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 3-14 and 2-9 with the loss. Allyson Teatom led Dickinson with a game-high 12 points and two blocks. Jennifer Reitmeyer added 10 points on five-for-seven shooting and grabbed a team-high six rebounds. Carly Onkotz tallied eight points in the win. Freshman forward Kim Proctor (Ferndale, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) scored a team-high six points and pulled down a game-best eight boards for the Shorewomen. Freshman guard Irene Pastorino (Swarthmore, PA/Cardinal O'Hara) contributed five points and three steals. Dickinson shot 41% from the field in the game and held Washington to 20% shooting. The Shorewomen did outrebound the Red Devils, 46-37. The Shorewomen's next game will be a 6:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home game against Ursinus Tuesday. |
