8, 2005 GETTYSBURG, PA Albright College outscored Washington College, 29-14, in the second half and defeated the Shorewomen, 58-39, on the second day of the Days Inn Classic this afternoon in Gettysburg, PA. The Lions improved to 3-10 with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 2-9 with the loss. Meredith Berger led Albright with a game-high 18 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Jacqueline Hardwick added 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds, while Staci Waligorski came off the bench to supply Albright with 10 points and seven rebounds. Sophomore guard Regina Barrett (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Mamaroneck) led Washington with nine points as she was three-of-five from beyond the three-point arc. Sophomore forward Lauren Duckworth (Newtown, PA/Archbishop Wood) collected a team-high 10 boards. The Shorewomen return to Gettysburg Tuesday for a 6:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game against the Bullets. |
