Howard Named Women's Soccer Captain, Joins Patinella & Matteson

CHESTERTOWN, Md. -- Sophomore forward Bailey Howard (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) has been named as a captain of the Washington College women's soccer team. Howard joins current captains, junior forward Suzanne Patinella (Fallston, Md./Maryvale Prep) and junior defender Taylor Matteson (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson), and fills the vacancy left by the upcoming graduations of senior midfielders Kathleen Maleski (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) and Heather Smith (Glen Burnie, Md./Glen Burnie).

Howard has played in 31 games during her two seasons with the Shorewomen, starting all of them. She registered two assists and 13 shots for the Shorewomen this past fall. Howard, Patinella, and Matteson will serve as the team's captains during the upcoming non-traditional spring seasons.
