CARLISLE, PA -- Host Dickinson College downed visiting Washington College, 4-0, in a Centennial Conference women's soccer game this afternoon in Carlisle, PA. The Red Devils improved to 9-3-1 overall and 5-2 in conference play with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 2-9-1 and 0-5-1 with the loss.
Dickinson scored on its first shot of the game when Rosalin Savoie scored at 14:22 off an assist from Marissa Kunkle. The Red Devils followed with another goal on their second shot of the contest, this one scored by Julia Thayer off another assist by Kunkle at 16:38.
The score remained 2-0 until the Red Devils scored on back-to-back shots early in the second half as Thayer scored off an assist from Allie Young at 46:21 and Ashley Fields scored at 50:10.
Dickinson held a 7-3 advantage in shots and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks in the game. Junior forward Katie Bradley (Havre de Grace, MD/Fallston) registered the only one of the Shorewomen's three shots that ended up on goal.
The Shorewomen return to action Wednesday with a 7:00 p.m. Centennial Conference game at Ursinus.
