IMMACULATA, PA -- Zena Tracey scored 41 seconds into overtime as host Immaculata defeated visiting Washington College, 1-0, in a non-conference women's soccer game this afternoon. Immaculata improved to 1-1 with the win, while the Shorewomen fell to 0-2 with the loss.
Tracey scored on what was the Mighty Macs' first shot of overtime and only their fifth shot of the game. Washington got off 15 shots in the contest, including nine in the second half, but could not find the back of the net. Senior midfielder Gabby Devaud (Baltimore, MD/Institute of Notre Dame) tallied a game-high five shots for the Shorewomen.
Meghan McCurnin and Dana Disney split time in goal for Immaculata with McCurnin tallied four saves in the first half and Disney six in the second. Senior goalkeeper Tori Ripple (Baltimore, MD/John Carroll) made one save for Washington.
The Shorewomen return to action Saturday with a 4:00 p.m. home game against Goucher.
