Fitzgerald Named Centennial Conference Player of the Week
LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College junior forward Erin Fitzgerald (Greensboro, NC/Bishop McGuiness) has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for women's basketball for the week ending November 25th.
In the Shorewomen's lone game of the week, Fitzgerald poured in a career-high 23 points and hauled down a career-best 17 rebounds as Washington defeatd McDaniel, 79-63, in the team's home and Centennial Conference opener Tuesday. Both of those totals were also game highs. Fitzgerald was 9-for-11 from the field and 5-of-7 from the line in the win. She passed her previous career high of 17 points by halftime, scoring 18 points in the first half as several other key Shorewomen were in foul trouble. Washington held a 42-31 advantage at the intermission.
