Women's Rowing Dedicates Races to Cancer-Stricken Boy
Competing at the Knecht Cup in Cherry Hill, NJ, is an annual event for the Washington College women's rowing team, but this year's races at the regatta, held April 14th and 15th, had extra meaning for the Shorewomen.

Washington College Rowing Teams "Can" Hunger
The Washington College men's and women's rowing teams joined together to enter the "Let's Can Hunger" effort, sponsored by the school's Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) Club. The rowers donated more food than any other student organization at 300 pounds of food.

Giving Back in Japan: A Year Later

Shorewomen Field Hockey to Fight Breast Cancer with "Saves 4 The Cure"
The Washington College field hockey team is partnering with the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Shorewomen's third annual "Saves 4 The Cure," a fundraiser to help in the battle against breast cancer. This year's "Saves 4 The Cure" game will take place on October 22nd against Franklin & Marshall.

Washington College Swimming Holds Annual Triathlon to Fight Cancer
The Washington College swim teams held their annual triathlon to raise money for the fight against cancer on Saturday. The triathlon consisted of a 1,000-yard swim, a 10-mile bike ride, and a two-mile run. The teams raised over $900 through their efforts.

While other college students spent their summer on the beach, Washington College rowing coxswain Jeff Nutting spent his summer restoring a 1969 Chevy C-10 pick-up truck. Nutting was just one of several Washington College student-athletes who found alternatives to sunbathing during the summer months.
