Goheen to Receive CRC Press Chemistry Achievement Award
CHESTERTOWN, MD -- If the sport of soccer is both art and science, it's reasonable to conclude that Josh Goheen (Bel Air, MD/John Carroll) contributes to the game from the scientific perspective. Goheen, a sophomore midfielder on the Washington College men's team, has been selected by the school's Chemistry Department as one of its two recipients of The CRC Press Chemistry Achievement Award.
The CRC Press Chemistry Achievement Award is given annually to students around the nation, including two from Washington College, who have achieved an outstanding understanding of chemistry. Goheen's award is based on his accomplishment in general chemistry during the 2010-11 academic year. As a recipient of the awards, Goheen will receive The CRC Press Handbook of Chemistry and Physics during the Chemistry Department's end-of-the semester party on Thursday, December 8th.
Goheen has played in all 28 of the Shoremen's games since the start of his freshman year. He recorded two assists and registered 14 shots last season and has registered seven shots this fall.
