All-American Goalie, Long-Time Supporter of WC Athletics John R. Parker '55 Passes Away
John R. Parker ’55, a writer, storyteller, and a former advertising executive who retired to Chestertown so he could spend more time cheering on the Washington College Shoremen, died December 11, 2010, at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington. Parker was a two-time All-American in lacrosse at Washington College and played on the 1954 USILA Laurie Cox Division Co-National Championship Team.
