Shoremen Return to National Rankings for First Time Since 2009

Saturday's Showdown with Gettysburg Up Next for Shoremen

PERRY, NY -- The Washington College men's lacrosse team has returned to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division III National Top 20 for the first time in three years.  The Shoremen are ranked 15th in this week's poll.

The Shoremen are coming off a 10-9 overtime victory at then fifth-ranked Dickinson on Saturday.  That victory was the Shoremen's eighth in a row and their first over a top-five opponent since 2008. The Shoremen are now 8-2 overall this season and 5-0 in the Centennial Conference.

The last USILA Division III poll that had the Shoremen nationally ranked was released on April 6th, 2009. The Shoremen were ranked 19th in that poll.

Washington will put is unblemished conference record on the line against visiting 17th-ranked Gettysburg Saturday in a battle for first place in the Centennial standings.  The Bullets are currently 7-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference. Face-off is set for 1:00 p.m.
