CHESTERTOWN, Md. — The Washington College men's basketball team's home game against Haverford on Wednesday, January 31st, will be the Shoremen's Go4theGoal Game as they support that organization's "Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer" effort.
Go4theGoal's mission is "to improve the lives of children battling cancer by providing financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes." Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer is a program run by Go4theGoal which raises funds and awareness through the wearing and selling of special gold shoelaces for designated sports competition.
The Shoremen will be wearing the special gold laces for the game against Haverford. They will be selling laces at the door for $5.00 and taking donations as well, throughout the game. Laces can be ordered and donations can also be made at http://go4thegoal.org/laceup.html.
