Nicholoff Named Centennial Player of the Week
Senior Posted .875 Save Percentage in 2-0 Week
LANCASTER, PA -- Washington College senior goalkeeper Elena Nicholoff (Tunkhannock, PA/Lackawanna Trail) has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week for field hockey for the week ending October 4th. Nicholoff posted a save percentage of .875 in a 2-0 week for the Shorewomen.
Nicholoff made five saves in a 2-1 win at Swarthmore Tuesday as the Shorewomen improved to 3-1 in Centennial Conference play. She then registered a pair of saves in a 3-0 non-conference win at Goucher Thursday. Nicholoff enters this afternoon's game at Moravian with 514 career saves, eight shy of the school record.
This marks the fourth time in her career Nicholoff has been named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week.
