Blouin Named All-Conference
Junior Tabbed as All-MAISA Skipper

CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Washington College junior skipper Conner Blouin (Tampa, FL/Jesuit) has been named to the Spring 2009 All-MAISA team, which was released Thursday by the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association. Blouin's efforts have helped lead the Washington College sailing program to its first-ever appearance in the ICSA Co-Ed Dinghy National Championships.

Blouin skippered Washington to a seventh-place finish in A Division at the ICSA Co-Ed Dinghy National Semifinals, helping WC to an eighth-place overall finish at the event and a spot in the national finals. He was also sixth in A Division at the America Trophy, the MAISA Co-Ed Dinghy Spring Championships. His highest divisional finish this spring came at the St. Francis Yacht Club Intersectional, where he skippered WC to second in A Division as Washington won a co-ed intersectional for the second time in school history. Blouin has nine career first-place divisional finishes to his credit.

The All-MAISA team is comprised of the top sailors from MAISA, which features over 40 member teams. The ICSA Co-Ed Dinghy National Championships will be held June 1st-3rd in San Francisco.
