Blouin & Hankins Named All-Conference
Pair of Juniors Tabbed as All-MAISA Skipper, Crew

WASHINGTON, DC -- Washington College junior skipper Conner Blouin (Tampa, FL/Jesuit) and junior crew Krista Hankins (Bridgeton, NJ/Cumberland Regional) have been named to the Fall 2008 All-MAISA team, which was released Saturday at the annual meeting of the Middle Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association held at American University.

Blouin and Hankins enjoyed an outstanding fall season sailing together. They opened the season with a first-place finish in A Division at the Cornell Fall Open, tied for first in A Division at the the Nevins Trophy the following weekend, and won A Division at the North Fall #1 the weekend after that. They later finished second in A Division at the prestigious Navy Fall Intersectional and fourth in A Division at the War Memorial, the MAISA Fall Co-Ed Dinghy Championships.

Blouin, who has nine career first-place divisional finishes to his credit, also skippered Washington to a fourth-place finish in A Division at the Hobart/William Smith Fall Intersectional. Hankins, who was recognized as an All-MAISA crew, made her skippering debut at the MAISA Fall Women's Championships, finishing in eighth-place in B Division.

The All-MAISA team is comprised of the top sailors from MAISA, which features over 40 member teams.

The Washington College sailing team finished the fall season ranked 19th in the nation and will open the spring season by hosting the Tom Noble Team Race February 28th and March 1st on the Chester River.
