25, 2007 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Host Washington College went a perfect 7-0 en route to winning the Tom Noble Team Race this weekend on the Chester River. Washington has now won the regatta, which was previously known as the Washington College Team Race, for three consecutive years. Junior skipper Alex Hood (Newport, RI/Portsmouth Abbey) and junior crew Shrijana Puri (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase), junior skipper Parker Mitchell (Malibu, CA/Malibu) and sophomore crew Derek Packard (Excelsior, MN/Breck) , and freshman skipper Conner Blouin (Tampa, FL/Jesuit) and junior crew Meredith Bluefeld (King of Prussia, PA/Upper Merion) sailed for Washington. Third-ranked Georgetown finished second with a 5-2 record, while second-ranked St. Mary's was third, also with a 5-2 mark. Forty-eight races were sailed Saturday in Northeast winds of 10-12 knots dying to 6-8 knots in the afternoon. One round robin was completed with 20 races sailed in the second round robin. Only four races sailed on Sunday due to light winds and snow. The second round robin was not completed. Next weekend, the Washington College sailing team will compete at the John Jackson Memorial Team Race, hosted by Georgetown, and at the ODU Open, hosted by Old Dominion. Final
