WC Finishes 7th at Atlantic Coast Tournament
Hood & Puri Place Third in A Division

NEWPORT, RI -- The Washington College sailing team finished seventh of 16 schools at the Atlantic Coast Tournament, hosted by Salve Regina University, this weekend. Junior skipper Alex Hood (Newport, RI/Portsmouth Abbey) and junior crew Shrijana Puri (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase) led Washington with a third-place finish in A Division.

Hood and Puri finished in the top five in A Division in five of the eight races in the division. Freshman skipper Conner Blouin (Tampa, FL/Jesuit) and junior crew Tonie Domino (Crownsville, MD/Old Mill) were sixth in B Division. They finished in the top five in four of the right B Division races.

Boston University won the Atlantic Coast Tournament, followed by Bowdoin in second and Salve Regina in third.

Next weekend, the Washington College sailing team will compete at the SAISA/MAISA regatta at the College of Charleston.
