Sailors 12th at Boston Dinghy Cup
Buckely, Semanick 6th in A Division

BOSTON, MA -- The Washington College sailing team placed 12th of 16 schools at the Boston Dinghy Cup this past weekend. Races were only held on Saturday; Sunday's races were canceled due to lack of wind. Harvard finished first at the event, followed by Tufts in second and Dartmouth in third.

Washington's highest finish came in A Division, where sophomore Mike Buckley (Sandwich, MA/Tabor Academy) and senior Lisa Semanick (Baltimore, MD/Western Tech) finished sixth. In B Division, freshman Colin Robertson (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's), sophomore Jennifer Hanley (Sparks, MD/Maryvale Prep) and freshman Diane Morrow (Tabernacle, NJ/Shawnee) placed 11th. In C Division, sophomore Nathan St. Onge (Hyannis, MA/Barnstable) and crew senior Sarah Corson (Demarest, NJ/The Masters School, NY) finished 12th and in D Division, senior Simon Day (Middletown, RI/Rocky Hill) and freshman Max von Roth (Weston, VT/Long Trail) placed 13th.

Next weekend, Washington College competes at the MAISA Team Race, hosted by King's Point. WC is ranked 20th in the latest Sailing World Top 20 Co-Ed coaches poll.
