10, 2002 NEW HAVEN, CT -- This past Saturday and Sunday,
the Washington College sailing team finished 13th in a field of 22 schools
at the Harry Anderson Trophy Regatta hosted by Yale University. In A division, junior skipper Mike Buckley
(Sandwich, MA/Tabor Academy) and junior crew Jen Hanley (Sparks,
MD/Maryvale Prep) finished in 16th place. In B division, sophomore
skipper Colin Robertson (Annapolis, MD/St. Mary's) and sophomore
crew Diane Morrow (Tabernacle, NJ/Shawnee) finished in ninth
place. Kings Point won the regatta, finishing second in both divisions. Harvard, which won B Division, finished second overall, while Brown finished third. Stanford won A Division, but finished eighth overall. WC finished ahead of two nationally-ranked teams, Navy and Rhode Island. The regatta was held in light to moderate conditions as several races were postponed Saturday morning due to lack of breeze. Four races in A Division and two in B Division were held on Saturday, while each fleet sailed four races Sunday before the wind shut off. COMPLETE RESULTS AT COLLEGE SAILING.ORG
