Four from WC Named to
All-Centennial Sportsmanship Team

LANCASTER, PA - Four Washington College student-athletes have been named to the All-Centennial Conference Sportsmanship Team for fall sports. Each Centennial Conference member institution was permitted to nominate one student from each fall program who exemplifies the best in sportsmanship. Nominations were submitted by the athletic departments or head coaches. This is the first year of the All-Centennial Sportsmanship team, which was proposed by the conference's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

Senior Megan Rainey (Severna Park, MD/Archbishop Spalding) represented Washington's field hockey team, junior Wes Schantz (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg) represented Washington's men's soccer team, senior Megan Russell (Federalsburg, MD/Seaford Christian, DE) represented Washington's women's soccer team, and senior Mallory Kurtz (Willow Grove, PA/St. Basil Academy) represented Washington's volleyball team.

Rainey, Russell, and Kurtz all served as captains on their respective teams this season. Schantz was named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll.
