Twelve from WC Named to
Centennial Academic Honor Roll

LANCASTER, PA - Twelve Washington College student-athletes have been named to the Centennial Conference's Academic Honor Roll for fall sports. To be named to the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior or senior; a starter or key reserve on his or her team; and carry at least a 3.40 cumulative grade-point average.

Four Washington College volleyball student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll. Junior Chelsea Crum (Newark, DE/Charter School of Wilmington) was a repeat honoree, while junior Arielle Brown (Merion, PA/Merion) and sophomores Caitlin Ward (Wantagh, NY/Holy Trinity) and Kelli Canada (Midlothian, VA/James River) each earned the distinction for the first time.

Three Washington College women's soccer student-athletes were named to the Honor Roll. Senior Heather Roberts (Bel Air, MD/Maryvale Prep) landed on the Honor Roll for the third time, while senior Joelle Hupp (Madison, MD/St. Andrew's) was a second-time honoree. Senior Erin O'Brien (Havre de Grace, MD/John Carroll) was also named to the Honor Roll for soccer for the second time after earning the distinction for field hockey in 2005.

Washington's field hockey team had three student-athletes named to the Honor Roll. Senior Liz Quinn (Lyman, ME/Massabesic) and junior Candace Gaull (Laurel, DE/Laurel) each were named to the Honor Roll for the second time, while sophomore Kelsey Kemp (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) received the distinction for the first time.

Washington College men's soccer juniors Brian Danver (Bethany Beach, DE/St. Albans, DC) and Wes Schantz (Gaithersburg, MD/Gaithersburg) landed on the Honor Roll for the second straight year.
