#20 Shoremen Blank McDaniel, 7-0
Bhaskar & Roldan Put Up 8-0 Win at #1 Doubles

WESTMINSTER, MD -- Twentieth-ranked Washington College rolled past host McDaniel, 7-0, in a Centennial Conference men's tennis match this afternoon in Westminster, MD. The Shoremen improved to 11-3 overall and 5-0 in conference play with the win, while the Green Terror slipped to 5-6 and 0-3. Freshman Anantha Bhaskar (Chennai, India/National Open School) and freshman Rafael Roldan (Quito, Ecuador/Academia Cotopaxi) posted an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles for Washington.

Washington's other wins in doubles were turned in by freshman Michal Szymanski (Redlo, Poland/Gunston Day School, MD) and freshman Brian Danver (Montgomery Village, MD/St. Albans), who won by a 8-3 count at No. 2, and senior Ronen Kashvin (Rishon Le Tzion, Israel/Hasmonaim Bat-Yam) and freshman Todd Green (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood), who were 8-1 winners at No. 3.

Senior Tim Riskie (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) won, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. Bhaskar added a 6-1, 6-0, victory at No. 2, while senior Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) turned in a 6-2, 6-1, win at No. 3. Roldan pulled out a 6-2, 4-6, 6-0, victory at No. 4, Kashvin was a 6-1, 6-2, winner at No. 5, and Green rolled to a 6-1, 6-0, victory at No. 6.

The Shoremen return to action Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. Centennial Conference home match against Dickinson.
