Shoremen Down Ursinus, 4-2
Riskie Wins Handily at No. 2 Singles

COLLEGEVILLE, PA -- The Washington College men's tennis team improved to 3-5 overall and 2-0 in Centennial Conference play with a 4-2 win over host Ursinus College this afternoon.

Junior Tim Riskie (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles for the Shoremen, while junior Mike Edison (Darnestown, MD/Good Counsel) was a 6-3, 6-4 winner at No. 3. Junior Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) added a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 4 and junior Ronen Kashvin (Rishon Le Tzion, Israel/Hashmonaim Bat-Yam) recorded a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5.

Doubles were not held due to time considerations.

Washington improved to 90-0 all-time in Centennial play with the victory.

The Shoremen, ranked 18th in Division III, return to action Saturday with a 10:00 a.m. match at Johns Hopkins and a 3:00 p.m. match against 23rd-ranked Carnegie Mellon at Goucher.
