February 27, 2005 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- Playing a Division I opponent for the second time in three days, the 18th-ranked Washington College men's tennis team slipped to 0-2 this spring with a 7-0 loss to visiting Richmond today at the Lifetime Fitness Center. Senior Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) and junior Mike Edison (Darnestown, MD/Good Counsel) turned in the Shoremen's most competitive match in doubles, falling to Derek Schwandt and Matt Cabana, 8-6. In singles, sophomore Arturo Solis (Guatemala, Guatemala/Valle Verde School) forced Schwandt into a tie-breaker in the second set before falling, 6-2, 7-6(3) at No. 1.
