7, 2004 LANCASTER, PA -- The 18th-ranked Washington College men's tennis team remained undefeated all-time in Centennial Conference play and ran its overall unbeaten conference streak to 118 matches with a 7-0 win over host Franklin & Marshall this afternoon in Lancaster, PA. The Shoremen, who are 86-0 all-time in Centennial play, won all three doubles matches to secure the doubles point. The teams of senior Pete Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton) and junior Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) and freshmen Vivian Chhetri (Delhi, India/Prachar Vidhlaya) and Arturo Solis (Guatemala, Guatemala/Vallo Verde School) won by identical 8-1 scores at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. Sophomores Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) and Tim Riskie (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) were 8-4 winners at No. 3. Washington won all six singles matches in straight sets. Taylor posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1, while Chhetri recorded a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2. Solis and Farouk won by identical 6-0, 6-1 scores at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively. Prytula won at No. 5, 6-1, 6-1, and Riskie won at No. 6, 6-0, 6-3 to round out singles play. The Shoremen (9-2, 6-0 Centennial) return to action Saturday with an 11:00 a.m. match at Emory University, the top-ranked team in Division III. Match Results
