19, 2003 COLLEGEVILLE, PA -- The ninth-ranked Washington College men's tennis team improved to 73-0 all time in Centennial Conference play with a 7-0 sweep of host Ursinus this afternoon. The Shoremen are now 2-3 overall and 1-0 in conference play this season. The Shoremen won at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles by identical 8-1 scores, with junior Peter Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton) and senior Louis Blanchette (Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) prevailing at No. 1 and freshmen Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) and Tim Riskie (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) winning at No. 3. WC sophomore Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) and senior Alvaro Prado (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Liceo Javier) posted an 8-5 win at No. 2. In singles, Taylor record a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at No. 1, while Prytula did the same at No. 5. Blanchette won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2. The other three singles matches were played to an eight-game pro set. Farouk and Riskie won 8-0 at No. 3 and No. 6, respectively, while Prado won 8-2 at No. 4. The Shoremen are back in action Saturday when they host Muhlenberg at 12:00 p.m. Match Results
