Eagles Best Shoremen, 5-2
Taylor, Blanchette Win in Singles

FREDERICKSBURG, VA -- The Washington College men's tennis team, ranked fifth in the South Atlantic region, fell to the secon-ranked team in the region, Mary Washington, 5-2 this afternoon in Fredericksburg, VA. The loss drops the Shoremen's overall record this season to 11-5.

Junior Peter Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton) remained undefeated this spring at No. 1 singles with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Conor Smith at No. 1. Senior Louis Blanchette (Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) supplied Washington's other point with a 7-6(2), 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

The Shoremen play their final regular-season dual match tomorrow at Salisbury at 3:00 p.m.
