22, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The ninth-ranked Washington College men's tennis team breezed past visiting Muhlenberg, 7-0, today in Centennial Conference tennis action at Schottland Tennis Center. The Shoremen, now 3-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play this season, improved to 74-0 all time in the Centennial Conference. In doubles, junior Peter Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton) and senior Louis Blanchette (Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) won 8-4 at No. 1, sophomore Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) and senior Alvaro Prado (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Liceo Javier) won 8-3 at No. 2, and freshmen Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) and Tim Riskie (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) won 8-5 at No. 3. In singles, Taylor record a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1. Blanchette battled back to win 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2. Farouk won in three sets at No. 3, 6-2, 3-6, 6-0. Prado cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 4, while Prytula posted a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 5. Riskie rounded out singles play with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 6. The Shoremen are back in action Saturday when they travel to Johns Hopkins for a 3:30 p.m. match. Match Results
