9, 2003 CHESTERTOWN, MD -- The ninth-ranked Washington College men's tennis team swept visiting McDaniel, 5-0, this afternoon in Centennial Conference action at the Lifetime Fitness Center. The Shoremen, now 9-4 overall and 7-0 in conference play this season, improved to 79-0 all-time in the Centennial. The match consisted of five singles matches. Junior Peter Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton), senior Alvaro Prado (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Liceo Javier) and freshman Maciek Prytula (Szczecin, Poland/PLO) won by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores at No. 1, No. 4, and No. 5, respectively. Senior Louis Blanchette (Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 2, while sophomore Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3. The Shoremen next play a week from today, when they travel to eighth-ranked Mary Washington for a 3:30 p.m. match. Match Results
