30, 2002 ALLENTOWN, PA -- The sixth-ranked Washington College Shoremen completed their ninth consecutive unbeaten Centennial Conference season with a 6-0 victory over host Muhlenberg today. The Shoremen, 15-3 overall, finish the conference season at 8-0 and are now 72-0 all-time in Centennial play. The doubles portion of the match was rained out. In singles, senior Jose Lejarraga (Bahia Blanca, Argentina/Escuela Normal Superior) won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 and sophomore Peter Taylor (Canton, CT/Canton) won 6-0, 6-2 at No. 2. In the middle two spots, freshman Asfand Farouk (Karachi, Pakistan/City School) was a 6-2, 6-1 winner at No. 3 and junior Louis Blanchette (Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada/Mathieu-Martin) won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4. Junior Alvaro Prado (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Liceo Javier) posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 5. At No. 6, senior Seth Morgan (Chalmette, LA/J.J. Pearce, TX) played in his first match since suffering an in injury against Mary Washington on April 14th and posted a 6-0, 6-0 win. The Shoremen now await the NCAA Division III Team Championships draw, which will be announced this coming Monday. Match Results
