2, 2002 BINGHAMTON, NY -- The Washington College men's tennis team lost the first dual match on its 2002 schedule this evening falling to Division I Binghamton University, 6-1. The match was played indoors at the Binghamton Tennis Center. The Bearcats (3-2) swept the doubles matches to earn one point and won five of the six singles matches to gain the victory. Washington's lone victory came at No. 5 singles, where freshman Asfand Farouk posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Binghamton's Steve Spencer. The Shoremen, ranked 7th in Division III, return to action February 24 with a 10:00 a.m. home meet against Carnegie Mellon. Match Results
