Lejarraga & Morgan Finish Sixth
in Division III at ITA Nationals

PLANO, TX -- Washington College seniors Jose' Lejarraga (Bahia Blanca, Argentina/Escuela Normal Superior) and Seth Morgan (Chalmette, LA/J.J. Pearce, TX) finished sixth among Division III men's doubles teams at this weekend's Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Small College Championships.

Lejarraga and Morgan dropped their first round match to Sean Fifield and Ryan Scott of Trinity (TX) by an 8-6 count Thursday. Fifield and Scott went on to finish in second place. The loss put the WC duo in the consolation bracket, where they posted an 8-2 win over Scott Fisk and Marhsall Kuresman of DePauw later in the day.

On Friday, Lejarraga and Morgan played their final match with a chance to secure fifth place, but fell to Emory's Alex Jacobs and Mark Odgers, 8-2.

Lejarraga and Morgan earned a spot at the national event after capturing the ITA Southeast region doubles championship earlier this month.

The Washington College men's tennis team opens its spring season February 2 with a 5:00 p.m. match at Division I Binghamton University.
