WC Swim Teams Hold Annual
Triathlon to Fight Cancer

CHESTERTOWN, MD - The Washington College swim teams held their annual triathlon to raise money for the fight against cancer on Saturday. The triathlon consisted of an 1,000-yard swim, an 11-mile bike ride, and a two-mile run.

Junior Dylan Pollock (Savannah, GA/Benedictine Military) was the top male finisher in the event, followed by sophomore Matt Violette (Westbrook, ME/Westbrook) in second, and freshmen Ben Longwell (East Greenville, PA/Upper Perkiomen) and Nick Longworth (Media, PA/Strath Haven) in third and fourth, respectively. Sophomore Rachel Glasser (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) was the top female finisher, followed by junior Cailin Eisele (Egg Harbor Township, NJ/Egg Harbor Tonwship), freshman Morgan Phillips (Charlottesville, VA/Albemarle) in third and senior Rebecca Lee (Haddonfield, NJ/Haddonfield) in fourth.

This year's triathlon has thus far raised $1,209 to benefit cancer research.
